thats how Treyarch starts their article in which they announce tools, that will make mapping and modding possible again and thats exactly the answer to my first thought. I simply couldn't believe, that there are game developers, apart from little indie devs, who start to develop into a more customer friendly direction again, instead of trying to sell as much bonus content and sound packs to make as much money as possible, not mentioning that they are slowly ruining the whole franchise.
Yes there will be dedicated servers,
Yes there will be unranked servers and
Hell yeah, there will be great user made content again!
Just imagine:
Backlot for Black Ops 3! Or all-time classics, like Crash, Afghan or Firing Range!
Only one thing harms the upcoming hype in my mind, and thats one of the final sentences in Treyarchs announcement:
"Please remember that this is software development, so things don’t always work out exactly as planned. Sometimes features slip or drop off altogether, sometimes they get replaced with other, more awesome features as we hit into limitations of our original plans."
And well, this sounds like they plan to deny the whole concept and go "back to the roots", back to good old money making and dlc policy, but that would indeed be a very bad idea if they dont want to get backstabbed by dozens of angry gamers.
